Breed : Labrador Retriever
Bred by : Haleana Labradors
Sex : Dog
Owned by : Sana Assistance Dogs

Date of Birth : 2nd January2023

Not suitable for breeding

Teddy was bred by Haleana Labradors with Sana’s Monty the Full Tapua being his sire. Teddy has unique colouring known in the industry as being a ‘Dudley’ which refers to the lack of pigmentation around their eyes and nose. The only difference between Dudley labradors and traditional Yellow, Black or Chocolate labs is more care in providing sun protection to avoid UV damage.

Teddy is in training to be an Assistance Dog being a 6th generation service animal. Sana Dogs, in conjunction with the Paws for Picking up the Peaces program hopes to home Teddy with a First Responder once he reaches his benchmark training standard. If you are a First Responder of an individual suffering from PTSD and are in the Canberra / Southern NSW region we would love you to consider Teddy. The Paws program is being run under the parent charitable organisation Picking up the Peaces with the goal of managing and reducing the impacts of PTSD through the support of assistance dogs.
