Ramp Training
Introducing ramps is important for accessing vehicles, increasing the trust between the dog and the handler and safe handling of the dog at heights. This ramp attaches to a raised platform for grooming, however this skill is transferrable across many levels.
General Desensitisation Training
Living on a large property, the pups need to not only learn how to interact with the animals safely, but also the machinery and vehicles. All of my pups learn to ride on the quad bike so that they are not fearful of the sound, can be safe around the moving vehicle, but can be transported without fear or anxiety on the bike should an accident occur or heat / conditions impact their ability to walk unassisted without exacerbating their injury / health.
Group feeding
Avoiding food aggression is vital training for pups to ensure that they can be fed in any environment without showing aggression towards other dogs or handlers. When a pup is secure in the knowledge that they will be fed and that their needs are met, they will transfer this skill onto ignoring food scraps on the ground, eating hazardous items or refusing to release items on the command of their handlers.
